Talk through a good idea

Wednesday, October 14

12:48Recording demo
Speaker 1

Let's simplify the flow. Open the app, start recording, then come back to the important parts when we're done.

Speaker 2

Right. Everyone can focus on the discussion instead of taking notes.

Moments worth keeping
Speaker 1 00:24

Let's focus on what matters and make recording simpler.

Speaker 2 00:38

Agreed. Let's start with our next discussion.

02 / TRANSCRIBE

Read what was said.

After recording, turn audio into text on your device. Speaker separation makes conversations easier to follow.

03 / REVISIT

Come back to what matters.

Read transcripts and replay audio. Optional AI summaries use your own provider and key; confirmation sends text, not audio.

Illustrative examples. Fast transcription and speaker models are included; high-quality models download on demand.

03 — PERSONAL MEANS PERSONAL

Your voice.
On your device.

Recordings and transcripts stay local. Once models are installed, transcription works without an internet connection.

On-device processingNo cloud account

You choose what to share. Optional AI sends transcripts to your chosen provider only after confirmation. Export important recordings; uninstalling deletes local recordings.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

A few good questions.

A little more to know before you start.
Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. iPhone records, plays, shares and transcribes independently. Watch is an optional entry point.

Do I need the internet?

Recording works offline. Transcription runs on-device after models are installed. High-quality model downloads and optional AI summaries require a connection.

Which systems are supported?

iOS 17 or later; optional Watch recording requires watchOS 10 or later. Fast transcription on iOS 26 can request background processing. Keep other systems and high-quality mode in the foreground; completed progress is retained.

Is transcription live?

Transcription starts after the complete recording is saved. It does not produce text while you record. You can pause and resume.

Where are recordings uploaded?

Local transcription does not upload recordings to Mote servers. Sharing uses your chosen destination. Optional AI sends transcripts to your configured provider after confirmation, without audio.

Can I download it now?

Mote is currently tested by invitation through TestFlight. There is no public download link yet and final pricing has not been announced. This page will be updated when public access opens.
