Report an issue

Include the app version and build number, device model, OS version, app language, steps to reproduce and expected result. Private recordings, transcripts and API keys are not needed.

Recording and transcription

Requires iOS 17 or later. Fast transcription models are included. High-quality models require a download of about 1.61 GB; allow at least 3.5 GB free for installation. Transcription begins after the recording is saved, not while you speak.

On iOS 26, fast transcription can request continued background processing. Keep the app in the foreground on other systems and in high-quality mode. Background execution is controlled by the system; completed progress is kept and you can return to continue.

Microphone and Apple Watch

If recording fails, allow Mote to use the microphone in system settings. Apple Watch is optional and requires watchOS 10 or later. The system schedules transfers; open both apps and check the paired connection.

AI summaries and language

Summaries require your own working AI service, model and API key, plus confirmation before sending the transcript. Your chosen provider determines fees and data handling. Never include keys in feedback.

Choose System, Chinese, English or Japanese in Settings → Language. Interface and summary languages are separate. Changing the interface does not translate saved recordings. Web pages opened by the app follow its interface language; direct website visits use browser preferences or your saved manual choice.

Keep important content safe

Share audio or transcripts from recording details to back them up. Do not uninstall to troubleshoot: uninstalling deletes local recordings. Export important content before a beta expires.
